The Blackwell Files specializes in Real People talent…that means you! We’ve placed thousands of Real People in various print and video advertisements appearing all over the world. Photo shoots can be an amazing experience allowing you to go to beautiful locations, meet great people, and supplement your income. Most people earn from $500 to $1000 per project! We understand that real people have real schedules. Once in our files, we will contact you from time to time to see if you are available and interested in participating in a photo shoot.

If you’d like to be included in our talent files we would be happy to consider you. All types and ages are encouraged to apply. We will review your submission and contact you if we think you are a good fit. Check the Recent News section to see if we have any special calls for specific types and keep in touch by joining us on Facebook and Twitter.

Guidelines and Requirements:

In order to be considered you must:
  • Be a U.S. resident (or green card holder) in, or near the Bay Area & plan to stay in the area for at least 1 year
  • Have a semi-flexible schedule – most photo shoots take place during the week (not on weekends)
  • Conduct yourself in a responsible and professional manner at all castings & photo shoots
  • Have a parent/guardian involved in the process, if you are under 18 years old

Blackwell files requires new talent to commit to be a part of our files for a minimum of 1 year. If you have plans to sign a contract with another model agency before that period of time, we unfortunately will not be able to include you in our casting files.

Age 18 and up. Note that an 18 year old that is currently in high school is still considered a minor and must involve a parent or guardian in the process.

Parents/guardians can submit their children ages 5 and up. An adult must accompany anyone under the age of 18 to our castings.

Children in California are required to have a valid and current entertainment work permit before they are allowed to work on set. It is required to attain your child’s work permit before joining our files. Clients only book children with current work permits on file. Click here for a list of California Labor Board offices and click here for a copy of the permit application.

If you have an exclusive contract with a talent/modeling agency, we regret that we cannot include you in our files.
